Gladly, summer is right around the corner and most of us will be taking some time away from the things we do every day. During this time, Spy News Magazine encourages you to do something different so you can get inspired and find stimuli for the next time you’re feeling stuck! Summer is the best time for a good old fashion adventure.
For the occasion, acclaimed photographer Franck Malthiery surprised us by putting five small models to a challenge outside in the open air, to represent the Massimo Dutti SS16 collection, inspired by different spots in the United States: from Yosemite to Nevada, following the route of the Colorado River. The collection brings together pieces full of colour and prints, mixed with neutral and beige tones. Blue and green tones for boys, and pink touches for girls. These garments evoke the heat and colour of summertime, even taking on a distinctly preppy feel at times. The new collection also has a wilder side, with clothing adorned with ethnic details, embroidery, textures, fringes, crochet… all intermixed with a splash of indigo and the newly-revived suede.
The starring colours are undoubtedly yellows, greys, blues and, as a new feature, black tones for girls. All of them pulled together with a romantic air, with denim and embroidered shirts, lightweight jackets and tweed sweaters.
