The 69th edition of the Festival de Cannes will began May 11, 2016, when the city took its place as the epicenter of international cinema.
To mark the occasion, the house of Dior opened a new boutique in Cannes designed by the architect Peter Marino, at 7 Boulevard de la Croisette. The women’s and men’s leathergoods, timepieces, jewelry, ready-to-wear and footwear collections will be spread over the three-floor location.
Among the artworks to be found accompanying the collections will be armchairs by Russell Woodard, lamps designed by Wouter Hoste, and an animated mural by Oyoram.
The Cannes boutique’s gray and white color scheme and neo-Louis XVI medallion-back chairs transpose the hushed and intimate atmosphere of the historic address of 30 Avenue Montaigne in Paris.
